6^th Grade ELAR (Brown/Evans) May 4^th – May 8^th

Overview:

Students will continue reading Love That Dog and answering questions. All assignments, activities, documents and videos are posted on Teams throughout the week. Check-ins are Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

20-30 minutes daily: Reading/discussions/activities will not exceed 20-30 minutes per day. These are recorded, so everything can be accessed any time, but to avoid getting behind or overwhelmed, it is best for students to spend time each day on this work.

Assignments Due:

May 5^th: 16-Word Poem (so much depends upon poem) due via Teams

May 8^th: Love That Dog responses/check ins due (all posted on Teams)

May 13^th: Shape (Concrete) Poem due (assignment will be sent out on Teams, explained in video, also posted in Teams) *This is the final assignment for the school year.

Parent Directions:  Students need to get on Teams daily for the book text/audio and reading/discussion questions. I will also email in case there is a problem. Video chat times are 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 3 p.m. daily if students have questions or need help in any way. We are also available 8-3 each weekday by email or phone.
