Assignments:

All assignments, lessons and needed resources will be posted in TEAMs for this class each week. Students will submit all assignments through TEAMs as well.

Week 5 Robotics & Tech/STEM Assignment: Online Safety Reminders

Recommended time students should work on assignments per day:

Approximately 30 minutes for the entire assignment

Basic Parent Directions for the Assignment this Week:

Students need to open TEAMs for the class and go to the Week 5 Assignment. They need to read the assignment document to learn what the assignment is about, how to complete it, and the due date.

For this week, students will read 2 articles and answer questions about those articles. After completion of the articles, there is a short quiz that they need to do. When they have completed all parts of the assignment, they must click “Turn In” to submit their assignment.

With people staying at home because of COVID-19, the usage of digital devices, internet, social media, etc., has increased dramatically as people “stay connected.” For parents, this is a great opportunity to visit with your child about being safe while online and to make good decisions about the information they release to other people online. This week’s assignment is a review of things we learned early in the school year, but good reminders for our children during this time.

FOUND OBJECT COLOR WHEEL

Each student will create a color wheel using objects from around the house.  You will lay out, in a circle, your colors starting with Red, Yellow and Blue.  In between those you will then add Green, Orange and Violet in the appropriate spots.  Between those, you will add the third layer of colors such as Yellow green, Red orange, Blue violet etc in the appropriate spots.  Lastly, you will photograph your color wheel and post it to Edmodo or email it to me at: karol.michelsen@canadianisd.net

All directions and photos examples will be posted on Edmodo Monday April 27.  I will also send out an email with the same directions.

This will be due the following Monday, May 4.
